"…but I'm not the only one…"

About Robin Frisella

Me, in 2001

I’m a mother, a teacher, and a citizen of the world who believes that living peaceably as a planet relies much more on compassion and civility than borders and politics. God did not draw border lines to divide us. We did that. The Jesus I know didn’t tell us to build walls (literal or symbolic) to keep us separate from those whose skin is of a different hue or who speak a different language.  Again, humans. Ghandi wouldn’t have sat at a computer in his underwear blogging snide remarks about the opposition to get everyone riled up. The Dalai Lama doesn’t spend his time forwarding unsubstantiated email rumors about political figures. I look to those who resemble  the aforementioned heroes  to guide my choices; I fail miserably in emulation but am inspired nonetheless. “Doctors without Borders” won the Nobel Peace Prize a number of years ago; if only we could be a world of  “Humans without Borders.”  Peace, people. Let’s take care of each other.
